| From July 28 to August 1, 1980 researchers in atmospheric electricity
gathered in Manchester, England for the VIth International Conference on Atmospheric
Electricity. One-hundred fifty presentations from 20 countries covered all aspects of
current research. Short versions of about one-half of the presented papers are contained
within it. Criteria for selection were set up by the editors, to cover in sufficient depth
the subject areas discussed at the conference.
